Driving, minimalist techno on the debut EP of Midnight Elevator co-founder Late Night Protocol.

‘Visions’ is an ode to Late Night Protocols love of the Detroit to Berlin techno connection that blossomed in the late 90’s. Taking in elements of Berlin’s signature minimal driving rhythms, coupled with the soulful sounds of Detroit’s 3rd wave; Visions is a modern take on the transatlantic exchange.

'Smear' sets the stage with atmospheric dub stabs, ebbing and flowing throughout its entirety. Following on, 'Blur' is a percussive heavy take on grooving Detroit techno. 'Trace' concludes the EP with a fast no-nonsense tool, perfect for the main floor.

Late Night Protocol & Midnight Elevator acknowledges that this work was made on Whadjuk Nyungar Boodjar and would like to pay respect to their community and Elders, for their wisdom, vibrance and care they provide to country and community.
